Kapuso Balikbayan heartthrob Anthony Constantino has earned the title “Player of the Game” at the fun and successful basketball match of Philippine TV celebrities at the Bida sa Arena: Ultimate Celebrity Showdown, May 3.
Constantino has a lifelong passion for basketball and he said that the sport consistently rewards the dedication he pours into it.
Throughout the game, the heartthrob is consistent on having high energy and hustle which assured his supporters that he is giving his all-out and brought everything he has in the court.
“Thanks for all the love and support last night. I’ve loved this game my whole life and it never fails to return its love,” he said.
Further, loud crowd cheers were the audience’s reaction after a successful execution of a “Hail Mary” shot during the game – proving his skills in basketball. Hail Mary shot refers to a last-ditch, long distance and low profitability attempt which is usually taken at the last buzzer to win or tie a game.
On social media, Constantino has thanked his supporters and everyone who supported him and his team throughout the match.
“Thanks for all the love and support last night. I’ve loved this game my whole life and it never fails to return its love. First time playing in MOA arena and all I can say is I left and all I had on the court.”
Bida sa Arena is a basketball match played between celebrities, Team Sparkle which comprises of Kapuso actors led by David Licauco, and Team Th3rd Floor led by Gerald Anderson.
Anthony Constantino is a Filipino-American model, who signed a contract with Sparkle in April 2025. He modeled for magazines such as Parcinq, and featured in brands like Vogue Philippines and Louis Vuitton.
He is in a relationship with actress Shuvee Etrata whom he considered as “lucky charm” in the basket match. “Tingin ko it was my lucky charm. Come on now, that shot? That’s gotta be Shuvee, ‘no?”
