How does it feel to reunite with your childhood sweetheart, after so many years?
Well, the feeling is surreal for actor John Prats after he has reunited with former love team partner John Prats via a music video for the latest single of singer-songwriter TJ Monterde. The single is titled “Teka Lang.”
“Thank you, Gummy @iamhearte, for saying yes to this project. Sa toto lang, hindi ko inakala na after so many years, ma[g]kikita pa tayo ulit sa screen together,” Prats has said via IG post.
The music video narrates the story of childhood sweethearts who unexpectedly reunited on a bus 23 years after they were reunited.
“Hanggang ngayon parang surreal pa rin isipin. Salamat sa tiwala at sa pagpayag na maging part ng project na ito. Ang daming memories ang bumalik, pero mas masaya na nakagawa tayo ng bago para sa mga bagong sumusubaybay sa atin noon. Grabe talaga si God. Full circle moment. #JoHeart.”
Prats has added that while doing the project he felt his feelings to Heart when they were childhood sweethearts. “Kasi yung last time na nagawa ko ito, sobrang tagal na. After naman ng love team era na ‘yon, nag-comedy na ako, nagsayaw na ako, nag-action na ako. Wala na akong masyadong romantic projects.
Aside from the music video reunion, Prats has appeared in the actress reality show on GMA titled Heart World. The episode will have a replay on Saturday, June 13.
Heart and John are iconic Philippine TV love teams, as they have captured the heart of the fans through their on-screen chemistry which eventually turned into real-life teenage romance.
They are known for playing the lead role in the youth-oriented show G-Mik, which was succeeded by other projects such as Trip, My First Romance, and Berks.
