A former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) has received recognitions and incentives from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) – Regional Office No. III.
Ms. Jessie M. Pascual has received P100,000 cash prize from the government agency being the regional winner in the LIKHAng Kababaihan 2026 Business Plan Competition.
Pascual’s innovative business concept was also awarded first-runner-up in the national level.

Aside from the cash benefits, the former OFW will be provided with free training in packaging and labeling to further enhance the quality and marketability of her products – the sweet and spicy oyster.
DMW has said that through the training in coordination with Bulacan Provincial Public Employment Services Office, they will be able to help Pascual transform her product to export quality.
Jessie Pascual has worked in Saudi Arabia to support the needs of her three children. Now 43 years old, she went back in the country for good. She is a resident of Paombong, Malolos City.
LIKHAng Kababaihan is an initiative of DMW to strengthen the skills of Filipino OFWs in entrepreneurship.
“Ang kwento ni Ms. Jessie Pascual ay patunay na sa tulong ng puhunan, tamang pagsasanay, at matatag na determinasyon, ang tagumpay sa sariling bayan ay tunay na abot-kamay,” DMW said via press release.
Meanwhile, DMW Region 3 has recently inaugurated their new office in Dolores, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.

The ceremony was led by Assistant Secretary Jerome A. Alcantara, Regional Director Marlon S. Sevilla, and Assistant Regional Director Dennis R. Manzanero.
The new facility seeks to strengthen the government arm in providing assistance, better access, and better protection to serve the OFWs and their family members/
Other government agencies such as OWWA, DICT, LandBank, PNP, TESDA, and DSWD attended the inauguration.
