The local government unit of Pudtol in Apayao province has commended the members of the committee behind the success of their 11th Pinya Festival, an award which recognizes the significant contribution of the team behind the festive celeb’s success.
Municipal Mayor Atty. Edmar D. Pascua has issued the certificate of commendation, with each committee receiving recognitions both for their distinct and collective efforts.
“Through this simple yet meaningful activity, the municipal government continues to promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and dedication in public service,” a municipal official has said, urging colleague to keep up with their motivations as they are positively aspiring for more awards in the coming months.
It was June 29 (last month) when the town had its celebration of the Pinya Festival which was highlighted by their iconic pineapple effigy, that is since the town is known for their booming pineapple industry.
The pineapple effigy, which was unveiled by Mayor Pascua and other officials (local, provincial) and visitors, is among the highlights of their celebration, serving as symbol of their rich agricultural heritage, hard work and unity.
The local chief executive has also invited the public to witness and join the much-awaited pineapple picking from the giant effigy.
Moreover, residents gathered in a festive parade followed by the unveiling of the statue of provincial hero Elias K. Bulut Sr. Bulut is Apayao province’s founder and hero – and his visions and sacrifices continue to inspire the foundation of the province’s progress and as inspiration for new generations.
Lots of other activities were also conducted such as the SK TikTok Dance Challenge, basketball game, and the 4th Mountain Bike Rice.
