The local chief executive of Tarlac City is part of the now-streaming Netflix movie 18th Rose, which stars Kyle Echarri and Xyriel Manabat.
Viewers of the streaming platform felt a sense of pride seeing Mayor Susan Yap appear on screen via a special cameo appearance.

“From public service to the big screen, it’s a moment that highlights not only her versatility but also puts Tarlac in the spotlight,” R Pageantry Official has shared via FB post.
Moreover, city landmarks such as Tarlac Montessori School and Jecson Hospital also appeared in the film.
18th Rose is a 2026 Philippine coming-of-age romantic drama directed by Dolly Lulu. It is based on a screenplay he wrote with John Carlo Palaca.
The series was released April 9 on the streaming platform.

Xyriel Manabat has shared that the two feels excited and happy for their friendship with Echarri as they make the movie.

Echarri added that he is happy for Xyriel and they are both excited.
