American professional basketball team Dallas Mavericks has chosen Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as its official partner to guide the franchise’s commercial strategy for its future arena development.
Mavericks has said that they are currently engaged in a plan to building a modern, next-generation sports and entertainment destinations. In other words, they are on a mission to build a new arena.
Currently, the basketball team is on a lease agreement with American Airlines Center, and contract is up to 2031.

CEO Rick Welts has disclosed that their new arena search had been narrowed down to two options: Downtown Dallas (where City Hall likes) or the old Valley View Center property.
City Hall is located on Marilla Street in Downtown Dallas, and the Valley view mall property sits at the corner of Preston Road and Interstate 635 in Northern Dallas.
Choosing CAA Sports as partner is a strategy both for the current planning cycle and long-term commercialization efforts. This, as it seeks to help shape the future of sports and live entertainment in Northern Texas.

Paul Danforth meanwhile has said that the partnership marks a tremendous opportunity for brands to align with a dynamin and world-class organization. Danforth is the Managing Director and President of CAA Sports.
Mavericks President Ethan Casson, said, that the strategic approach of their organization and CAA Sports together with commercial acumen and deep industry relationships make them the ideal fit as they chart the next era for the basketball team.
