Popular music streaming platform Spotify have met criticisms this past few weeks after it rolled out a new logo – which sports an emerald green disco ball with a light outer ring – but the company in a recent social media post has said that the classic logo will return next week.
Spotify through the social media platform X has said that the icon is only temporary, the recent changes is only part of their 20th anniversary.
“Alright, we know glitter is not for everyone. Our temp glow up ends soon. Your regularly scheduled Spotify icon returns next week,” the company has said.

Netizens, to note, have made negative feedback over the disco ball logo saying it was bad and some even asked for the person who made it to be fired.
Independent UK has quoted a netizen saying, “It looks like there’s an outer circle and the green ball inside doesn’t fit in the confines of the circle, sloppily. After zooming you can see that it’s a disco ball but it doesn’t fit.”
Aside from the logo change, which sparked controversy, fans have shared positive sentiments on their popular year-end Spotify Wrapped.

As part of their anniversary celebration, they have shown users some of their earlier streams, most frequently listened songs and artists of all time.
This has brought a warm and fuzzy nostalgia for their favorite older songs which reminds that that their subscribers should not switch to competitor but keep their account to keep their data.
Netizens had fun sharing screenshots of their Wrapped and social media, and happily showed off some of the earliest songs they have listened to.
