Philippine TV actor Rayver Actor is currently on intense training as he upgrade his basketball skills – footworks, body control, hand-eye coordination – to compete in the upcoming Bida sa Arena celebrity basketball showdown.
In an interview with GMA News, the actor has said that the basketball bout will show the other side of celebrities – their skills in sports.
“Nakakatuwa kasi yung mga leading man natin sa Kapuso network, ‘di lang sila basta leading man. Talagang mga athletic and mga basketball players talaga sila so dito, ibang side naman yung mapapakita nila.”
Bida sa Arena is an upcoming basketball game played by top Filipino celebrities, which will be held May 3, at SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.
Rayver will be part of the Sparkle team which is composed of Kapuso actors, they will play against Th3rd Floor.
Other members of the Sparkle team are David Licauco, Will Ashley, Josh Ford, Dustin Yu, Mavy Legaspi, Paul Salas, Anthony Constantino, EA Guzman, Andre Paras, Kimson Tan, Prince Carlos, and Mateo Monzones.
Meanwhile, Th3rd Floor team is composed of some ABS-CBN talents such as Gerald Anderson, Vhong Navarro, Richard Gutierrez, Jameson Blake, and Emilio Daez.
Rayver’s girlfriend and Asia’s Pop Sweetheart Julie Anne San Jose is full support to his boyfie, saying she’ll be there to cheer for him.
“Of course, I will be there. I will be there to support and cheer for him. I’m gonna be the happiest one. Sabi ko kay Ray, asahan mo ando’n ako. Ako po magpupunas ng pawis niya.” #
