The Department of Agriculture (DA) in Central Luzon has quizzed residents through online platform Kahoot to sharpen their minds, strengthen skills and increase awareness on the programs of the agency.
DA Central Luzon has conducted Wednesday, April 14, the HVC Quiz Bee which is a competition open to the first 100 residents of the region who will succeed in joining a set Zoom conference.
Main topic during the quiz bee competition was on High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP).

High value crops refer to fruits, vegetables, and other farm products that offer the greatest potential for increasing farmer incomes, generating exports, improving nutrition and creating downstream industries.
“Layunin ng aktibidad na mapalakas ang kaalaman, kasanayan, at kamalayan ng mga miyembro ng DA ukol sa kahalagahan ng high value crops sa pagpapabuti ng produksyon at pagpapaunlad ng agrikultura sa rehiyon,” the agency said.
In the activity, the participants have shown their strong knowledge and understanding on the different concepts on high value crops production.
The Kahoot! Platform
Kahoot is a popular e-learning tool that seeks to brighten up and provide more liveliness in the classroom. This is through fun-filled interaction as students answer quizzes shown on TV screen via their mobile devices, that is while the result is immediately shown on screen.
The tool is helpful in learning activities like exams, quick concept checks during corporate training, or brain teasers during family gatherings.

There are over 30 million public Kahoots! and vibrant learning community. Several addition to the platform includes an AI question generator, a plethora of game modes, a live leaderboard and real-time reports.
Kahoot! started as simple team-up between Morten Versvik and Professor Alf Inge Wang as a research project.
The idea has soon turned into one of the top tools for e-learning, that has engaged over 12-billion non-unique players as of 2025.
