An innovation made by a Filipino start-up which seeks to provide an offline-first digital infrastructure beneficial in the delivery of life-saving resources during disasters and major infrastructure disruptions, has received positive responses from ASEAN neighbors.
ARM-OS which refers to ASEAN Resilience Mesh Operating System is designed as an AI-orchestrated disaster logistics network and aims to guarantee that rice reserves and ready-to-eat meals reach affected communities before, during and after catastrophic events.

The AI product was developed by Cebu-based technology company OH MY GENIE! (OMG!) Inc.
The company has leveraged the use of artificial intelligence to create a hyperconnected, hyperlocal, and decentralized ecosystem.
That is, instead of relying on massive centralized warehouses, they have transformed physical retail stores into localized fulfillment hubs, which allows businesses to deliver products in as little as 30 minutes while reducing logistics and minimizing waste.
The innovation has received a positive a nod after the country’s science and technology department has helped in showcasing it at the 14th ASEAN Plus Three Emergency Rice Reserve (APTERR) Council Meeting in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Chief Executive Officer and founder Karl Frederick Kesner IV has presented the product to ASEAN Secretariat and delegates from Japan, South Korea and China in the high-level regional policy forum.
Meanwhile, the science department has hailed the company as pride for all Filipino startups.
They, the agency said, have shown their ability to create advanced technologies to tackle important issues such as food security, disaster response, and supply resilience that deserve global recognition.
The company has won first place at the ASEAN-India Startup Festival held at the Taj Vivanta, Dwarka, New Delhi, from November 28-30, 2024. They have bested around 60 Indian startups and 40 ASEAN startups.
“We originally build OMG! Crazy-Fast simply to make distribution more efficient, supply chains more resilient and logistics more sustainable. We quickly learned that speed is simply the byproduct of extreme efficiency,” chief marketing officer Enrique San Juan said.
