Former senatorial aspirant Atty. Jimmy Bondoc’s post has made rounds on social media, creating speculations that authorities might have arrested Sen. Ronald Bato dela Rosa.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, August 4, Bondoc has seemingly shared a bad news: “Bad news is coming. Pray hard that it is not true, for the good of the nation.”
While he has soon deleted his FB update, netizens have grabbed screenshots and shared it on various news outlets and social media pages – and hence garnering huge attention.

Bondoc is a known supporter of former President Rodrigo Duterte, and an ally of Sen. Dela Rosa who is currently a subject of an arrest warrant issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in connection with allegations of crimes against humanities linked to Duterte’s war on illegal drugs.
In a statement, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla has said that he has not received any reports that the lawmaker was arrested. “As far as the PNP, we have no information to that effect.
Similarly, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Melvin Matibag has said that Dela Rosa is currently not under their custody.
“Wala sa amin,” Matibag said, as per Balita.

In addition, DOJ spokesperson Atty. Polo Martirez has shared that they have yet to receive information verifying if the lawmaker was arrested.
