The City Health Office of Tarlac City has intensified its efforts to ensure that businesses in the city, particularly those involved in food and industries are clean and safe for residents.

According to the LGU, around 31 food establishments and one industrial establishment were inspected.

These are in Aguso, Balanti, Balibago I, Balibago II, Panampunan, Salapungan, San Manuel, San Sebastian, Sta. Cruz, Tariji, Tibag and San Vicente.

It could be noted that the city or municipality health office has the jurisdiction of issuing a sanitary permit to individuals engaged in the operation of a food establishment.

Sanitary permit refers to a certificate that says that the establishment complies with the existing minimum sanitation requirements upon evaluation or inspection that was conducted.

Meanwhile, according to Tarlac LGU, the move seeks to ensure that residents have access to safe food, clean environment, and thereby a strong and healthy community.

“Layunin ng inspeksyong ito na matiyak na ang bawat establisyimento ay sumusunod sa tamang sanitation standards, food safety protocols, at malinis na operasyon – para sa proteksyon ng kalusugan ng publiko.”

On one hand, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) has ensured that the place is clean and orderly.

The CENRO has conducted vegetation control and clearing operations along P. Burgos St., Brgy. Poblacio up to Hilario St., Brgy. Ligtasan.
