Science Education Program Supervisor (EPS) for Region 2 Dr. Juvenal Agustin has graced the ALS Accreditation and Equivalency (A&E) Test for qualified Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL) learners at the Tuao District Jail.
A&E Assessment and Accreditation is a process that comprises an exam and other appropriate assessments to measure the competencies acquired by ALS learners.

Completers of the test are given certificates bearing the DepEd seal, ALS logo, SDO logo, dry seal and signatories, and the school’s name. This certifies that their competencies as comparable graduates of the formal education system.

The examination was conducted through Elementary and Junior High School Mobile Teacher Mrs. Trianne Joy C. Satsatin and Mrs. Juvilyn B. Malana.

“This important test certifies the competencies they have gained outside formal schooling, making them equivalent to elementary or high school education. Passing the test opens the door to higher education and brighter future,” BJMP Tuao District Jail said via Facebook.

Completers of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) are eligible to:
- Enroll in college/university as First Year students, subject to admission policies and requirements of higher education institutions
- Take skills development training programs
- Enroll in senior high school at any public school, or private school of their choice (subject to admission requirements).
