A video has amused netizens, showing a girl visibly thrilled as she unwraps her gift during the exchange gift portion of their Christmas party.
Her classmates playfully decided to gift “Hannah Gwyneth” her crush, “Prince Josef.”
In an interview with a local newspaper, the video uploader, Yye Sofia Marie, shared that it was an “open secret” among their classmates that Hannah and Prince Josef had mutual crushes on each other.
She clarified that it was all in good fun and done under the guidance of their class adviser.
“Naisip lang po ng friend naming si MJ, siya po ‘yong guy na lumapit na naka-blue, na ibalot si Josef para kay Hannah,” Sofia told The Philippine STAR.
She mentioned that it was an open secret in their class that the two had feelings for each other.
“Nagulat po siya, ‘di po makapaniwala si Josef na nabunot ni MJ si Hannah. Pumayag din lang siya nung sinabi ni MJ na may nakalagay na ‘siya’ don sa wishlist ni Hannah,” she reiterated.
Their adviser, Digno Dictado, and principal, Dr. Lea Cacayan, P-III, encouraged their creative gimmick, letting the class embrace the joy of harmless puppy love. As of now, the video uploaded on social media has amassed over 11.8 million views!
