Students of Isabela State University (ISU) – Cauayan Campus have undergone training to equip themselves with entrepreneural knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to develop viable business concepts.
The activity seeks to stir entrepreneural interests and encourage the youth to start their business ventures. Similarly, this helps them connect with the right networks that will support them to overcome startup challenges and exchange innovative ideas.
According to Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2, the four-day activity was delivered through a blended learning approach to learners taking Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship.

First two days of the April 14-17, 2026, activity was delivered face-to-face at the state university while the remaining days was held through social platform Zoom.
Select key resource speakers have shared their expertise on topics: entrepreneurship, business planning and enterprise development. These are STIDS Mary Rose M. Dumpit, TIDS Mel Mari Angelo Laciste, and TIDA Negosyo Center Novelyn G. Eder.
Meanwhile, DTI R2 in-house designers have assisted the participants in crafting and enhancing their company logos and product labels. This was through Negosyo Center Business Counselors – Jezreel M. Ramos, April Alvarado, Sarah Mendoza, and Sheen Lei Aliling.
Norielyn A. Pobre, on one hand, has provided technical assistance to ensure the smooth conduct of the sessions.
On the other hand, DTI has partnered with the social welfare department for a training on business accounting and bookkeeping in Gonzaga, Cagayan.

The participants were geared with essential knowledge and skills in proper recording of their income and expenses.
Likewise, discussions on accurate data on remaining stocks or proper inventory.
Here, Junior Business Counselor Mara Sheidee Valiente has shared a sample Excel-based inventory monitoring tool and guided the participants on proper computation of beginning inventory, stock-in, stock-out and remaining supplies.
Valienta has also shared on organizing financial records, utilization of simple inventory logs, and accuracy in daily operations.
