Globe subscribers get free speed boost of up to 1 Gbps, free WiFi 6 upgrades

Globe at Home subscribers are eligible for a complimentary speed boost of up to 1 Gbps, this means eligible subscribers can enjoy the faster speed at no additional cost.

Subscribers, meanwhile, whose current modems cannot support the upgrade may avail of the free WiFi 6 modem subject to a 24-month re-lockup period.

“In solidarity with the government’s call for energy conservation, Globe AT HOME is committed to making the remote work and education experience as seamless as possible,” per a statement from Abigail Cardino, vice president and head of brand management for Globe’s broadband business.

Cardino added, “By providing complimentary speed boosts of up to 1 Gbps and free WiFi 6 upgrades, we are empowering our customers to stay productive from the comfort of their homes.”

Globe said the initiative seeks to enhance digital productivity and ensure seamless connectivity as families navigate current economic challenges.

Cardino stressed that this reinforces the company as a partner in nation building and by prioritizing customer needs, they help families remain productive and entertained despite economic shifts and energy constraints.

She added that accomplishing digital tasks at home helps reduce fuel consumption and ease demand on transport energy.

Meanwhile, Globe Telecom Inc. was the gold winner for the Philippines in the best-managed company category for telecommunications services in the 2026 FinanceAsia Asia’s Best Companies Poll.

FinanceAsia poll collects nominations from investors and analysts across Asia to recognize publicly listed companies that demonstrate excellence in governance, transparency and market performance.

The recognition follows a period of significant financial momentum for the company. Globe has reported 65.8-million mobile subscribers in 2025, with mobile data serving as the primary revenue driver at a record of P101.2-billion.

Home broadband revenues reached P24-billion, and corporate revenues hit an all-time high of P20.7-billion.
