Mendoza has also shared a bible verse from Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

The new university president has undergone careful evaluation by the TSU Board of Regents during the public forum and presentation and panel interview, May 1.

There, he presented his vision to transform the academe into a hub of future-ready professionals and servant-leaders through a balance of inclusive instruction, impactful research, transformative extension, and sustainable production.

This goal which he called as DALAN framework, likewise, provides priority to modern infrastructure and governance, including the creation of smart campuses, the integration of real-time information systems, and the implementation of comprehensive AI governance policies.

Other target of the framework was strengthened scholarship programs and student support, 24/7 mental health services, dormitories, sports hub, and improved gender and development programs.

Mendoza sees TSU as an academic institution having expanded wifi and cashless payments which aligns with the regional development needs of Tarlac and the broader “Panatag na Buhay” goals of 2040.

Mendoza will serve as university president until 2030.
