ABS-CBN variety show ASAP leaves noontime for primetime slot, after 31 years

Philippine TV viewers of the ABS-CBN variety show ASAP will have some changes in their viewing schedule. This is after the Kapamilya network has decided to move the show from its former noontime schedule to primetime slot.

With the rebrand as ASAP XP starting May 17, alongside the television broadcast of the ASAP XP Concert held at Araneta Coliseum, the traditional Sunday noontime habit changes timeslot after 31 years.

In a social media post across ABS-CBN platforms, the show’s management has said, “Catch the biggest & brightest Filipino concert XPerience on Primetime!”

“Tuluy-tuloy ang celebration with your favorite Kapamilya stars sa ASAP XP, on its new timeslot, SUNDAYS | 5:30 PM starting May 17!”

The airing of ASAP on a new timeslot is broadcast on ALL TV 2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and streams on Kapamilya Online Live and iWantTFC.

ASAP, which refers to All-Star Sunday Afternoon Party, is a television variety show originally hosted by Martin Nievera, Pops Fernandez, Ariel Rivera, and Dayanara Torres.

Throughout the years, the program has undergone several scheduling changes. It was February 2026 when it was moved to an earlier 11:45 AM timeslot from 12:00 NN; then, started airing at 2:30 PM during the COVID-19 pandemic.

May 2020 when it aired its last broadcast on ABS-CBN free-to-air channel, then it later returned on October 2020 via A2Z Channel 11.

Meanwhile, ABS-CBN management has denied that It’s Showtime will replace the timeslot formerly occupied by ASAP.

It’s Showtime will continue airing every 12:00 NN from Monday to Saturday.

As of posting, ABS-CBN remains mum on what program will be broadcast on the 12:00 NN Sunday slot.
