Veteran actor Christopher de Leon will be joining Multimedia star Alden Richards in the upcoming medical thriller drama series of the Kapuso Network titled Code Gray.
In a GMA News interview by Nelson Canlas, de Leon said that his role in the upcoming drama is somewhat different from his previous portrayals of doctors.
He said, “This one’s different, entirely different. Parang ano eh, medyo may pagka-Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, I think.”
The veteran actor, as he shares about his role, is referring to the Dr. Jekyll in Gothic fiction literature who is a respectable individual and has created a potion that transforms him into the evil Mr. Hyde.
The literature written by Robert Louis Stevenson shows the themes of good and evil, repression, and the duality of human nature.
Code Gray is another milestone project for actor Alden Richards. Richards shared his excitement after finding out that he will be working with de Leon in the project.
“I’m very excited. Of course, makakasama ko ang isa sa mga iniidolo kong artista na si Mr. Christopher de Leon finally for a project. First time namin mag-work together.”
Other members of the cast are: Shuvee Etrata, Andrea Torres, Faith Da Silva, Romnick Sarmenta, Joross Gamboa, Christian Bautista, Kristoffer Martin, and Jon Lucas.
Shuvee, in an Instagram post, has said that working with Richards is a dream role. “today was both loud and quiet in the best way – storycon (dream role with my dream artista to work with! Hi kuya @aldenrichards02).”
In a 24 Oras story on Tuesday, she shared her excitement: “Sobrang excited po. Especially working with Kuya Alden. So, it’s a dream come true, and we’re just very excited to work with the cast and, of course, the prod.”
