Have you experienced making a design on the platform Canva, but it sometimes leads to disappointment because of a sudden lost in internet connection?
Worry no more, as the visual communications and graphic design platform has launched, April 16, a feature that is most requested by its users – Canva Offline.
The platform has said that the new feature allows users to continue working even without an internet connection.
Changes will automatically sync once the user’s internet connection is restored – which ensures that all work is saved.
“Designs can now be made available without an internet connection, letting you perform essential editing actions, whenever and wherever you need to,” Canva said.
With the offline mode, users can download selected files and projects in advance in order to keep working even without an internet connection.
The new feature is expected to benefit a lot of users particularly professionals who travel frequently or operate in areas with inconsistent network coverage.
These areas include developing countries, rural communities, or areas with unstable infrastructure which often face barriers when using clous-based software.
There are caveats, however, such as users having to manually select which files they wish to download before going offline.
Canva has yet to confirm whether a feature that allows users to create an entirely new project from scratch while offline is available.
It is worth noting that full project creation will be needing huge resources that limits the feasibility of a fully offline design environment.
Moreover, Canva has also said that the Learn Grid Platform would be made available to all users.
The Learn Grid Platform is a resource library that includes thousands of ready-made materials designed to support structured learning. This is previously targeted to educators, and is mapped to curricula.
