Filipino music lovers have seen them shake The X Factor’s stage and participated in many international competitions. This time, the girl group 4th Impact has rebranded themselves to 4Sisters.
The group is composed of sisters from Roxas, Isabela: Almira, Irene, Mylene, and Celina.
In an Instagram post, the Filipina group has shared that they have changed their name in order to fully embrace their identity as sisters who love music.
This is their way, they said via video, to reminisce their laughters, fights, dramas, and dreams.
“Four sisters who simply love to sing and to create beautiful music together. No expectations, pressure, we’re just gonna move on to our family, and just pure love for music.”
They have said they have undergone several challenges – growing, healing, figuring things out. And they want to give their best authentically.
Likewise, they asked their loyal supporters to keep their support so that they can continue in singing songs that matter, and create music that better identifies them.
“For years, you’ve known us by many names – Cercado Sisters, Gollayan Sisters, MICA, 4th Power, and 4th Impact. Each name holds a chapter of our journey that we will always be grateful for. But beyond all of that, we’ve always just been sisters,” part of the IG post’s caption reads.
They added, “This is our new beginning. This is our real story.”
Their supporters, meanwhile, have shared their support to their idols. One comment said, “Finally, a new chapter. Ang strength niyo po talaga is that monster voices at napakalupet na harmonization.”
Last year, the group has released their non-album singles I Bet You Never and Golden.
