The Philippine version of the popular game show Deal or No Deal will be returning on television this month; that is according to ABS-CBN News.
Dubbed locally as Kapamilya, Deal or no Deal, the sixth season features 20 lucky stars who will play in the all-new original episodes of the so-called “luckiest season.”
The classic and top-rater game show will be hosted by Luis “Lucky” Manzano, also known as the country’s Pambansang Host.

In the teaser, Luis said, “Luky you! Nagbabalik ang swerte mo this year. Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal?”
It has been about a decade since Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal was last aired on Philippine TV. Luis also served as the host of the previous season.
The Pambansang host, to note, has first teased the return of the popular game show with him as the host last year.
The new season of the show will be aired on ABS-CBN (particularly on All TV 2, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live) every Saturdays and Sundays, starting April 11.
Fans of the Kapamilya station and of the game show, has, meanwhile, shared their excitement towards the program.
One comment said, “Wow new logo na parang US version ang galing! Excited na ako sa bagong season ng Kapamilya Deal or no Deal!”
Another comment reads, “Ini-imagine ko mga beauty pageant candidates ‘yung may hawak ng briefcase, tas may production number. Pak na pak, diba.”

The Deal or No Deal franchise is based on the Netherland game show Miljoenenjacht. While the Philippine version is very similar to the US version.
Prior to the start of the game, a third party independent adjudicator is the only person to know the value inside each case. Each case has random amounts.
A contestant picks one briefcase, while the others are incrementally revealed. That is, while a mysterious figure called “The Banker” makes a phone call every time to purchase the amounts inside the contestant’s briefcase.
