DepEd SDO Cagayan’s top resource speaker in Araling Panlipunan curriculum Tomas de Leon Doca is pushing for more confident students having both character and excellence, this as he pushes for a more stringent implementation of Project RD-ELC – Project Virtues.
In a Facebook post on Friday, Doca-led project (Virtues) has noted the demonstration of confidence through humility and resilience in facing challenges, respect for self and others.
“Their positive attitude, responsible actions, and unwavering belief in their God-given abilities make them worthy role models in our school community.”
VIRTUES, which refers to Values Integration for Responsible Teaching of Upright and Empowered Students and Staffs, is a school-based initiative of Alabiao Elementary School.
Among the activities they have conducted was the recognition of awardees for exemplifying the value of self-esteem.
“May this recognition inspire every learner to value themselves, embrace their unique gifts, and strive for excellence, not only in academics but also in character. True self-esteem is built on integrity, perseverance, and faith in God,” a post from the school said.
Meanwhile, Doca – one of the most-sought-after resource speakers, has shared knowledge at the recent Division-led training of teachers on the Revised Grade 6, 9, and 10 curriculum for Congressional District 2 of Abulug School of Fisheries.
Doca served as speaker for Araling Panlipunan 10 and is a member of the program management team.
“What an incredible journey it has been! Over the past four days, we explored the revised AP10 curriculum together, exchanged ideas and best practices, engaged in meaningful discussions, and strengthened our collective commitment to delivering quality, relevant, and learner-centered education. Each session, workshop, and conversation served as a reminder that empowered teachers are the key to meaningful learning experiences for our learners,” he said.
He added, “I am deeply honored and grateful to have been part of this transformative experience. Serving alongside passionate educators in the Congressional District 02, who are dedicated to continuous growth and excellence has made this journey even more inspiring and rewarding.”
