GMA Network series ‘Taskforce Firewall’ pilots on May 25

GMA Network is set to bring another action-packed primetime drama series through Taskforce Firewall, which focuses on high-stakes cybercrime investigations and intense field operations.

Cybercrime refers to an activity that either targets or uses a computer, a computer network or a networked device to make money. However, cybercrime occasionally seeks damage to computers or networks for reasons other than profits – political or personal.

These are carried out by individuals or organizations called cybercriminals, who uses sophisticated, advanced and highly technical skills.

Taskforce Firewall, hence, mixes cybercrime investigations, intense field operations and fight scenes.

Miguel Tanfelix, one of the lead actors in the show, has said that they have underwent gun training with the Philippine Air Force, as per GMA News.

“Nagkaroon kami ng isang firing day kasama ang Air Force, buong ‘Firewall’, kami nina Kylie [Padilla], nina Jak [Roberto] tapos ako nag-overnight ako sa Tarlac eh.

“Nag-overnight ako dun, nag-aral ako kung paano humawak ng pistol, ng mahaba, so kailangan talaga swak. Kailangan talaga sakto dahil bilang ‘yung character ko dito maalam humawak ng baril, dapat maalam din sa totoong buhay.”

Aside from Tanfelix, other members of the cast are Jak Roberto, Kylie Padilla, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, and Cheska Fausto.

Kylie said he had death-defying training sessions for the upcoming action series, getting inspiration from his father Sen. Robin Padilla.

Bandera has disclosed that Kylie has underwent intense training, where she was seen “astig na astig ang kanyang galawan sa mga fight scenes.”

She also learned how to use gun, knife (weapon), and martial arts.

Jak, meanshile, said, “Bakit nga ba namin inaaral ‘to? Siyempre kailangan maging accurate lahat ang galaw namin sa Firewall, ‘yung paghawak namin sa baril, ‘yung stance, ‘yung form and etc, today magse-self defense training din kami.” #
