Nueva Ecija Principal, named “Most Outstanding” in the country

The school head of Sto. Domingo National Trade School in Nueva Ecija province was named as the 2026 Most Outstanding-Inspiring School Principal of the Philippines.

The award was given by the National Association of Public Secondary School Heads of the Philippines.

Dr. Rowena B. Caoile has undergone a thorough and rigorous scrutiny up to the national level. She bested nine qualifiers, until she entered top five until finally becoming the champion.

Dr. Fralyn B. Leones of Granada NHS in Iloilo, Dr. Roger D. Raymundo of Ramon Torres Malingin NHS in Bago City, Dr. Joselito S. Tizon of Zamboanga del Norte NHS in Dipolog, and Dr. Lilibeth M. Virtus of Paharang Integrated School in Batangas City are also in the Top 5.

Dr. Caoile has personally received the award, together with Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ronaldo S. Pozon, Legazpi Convention Center, Legazpi, Albay.

The school head’s triumph could be attributed to her modern style of leadership, strong dedication, and wholehearted service in education.

Under her leadership, Sto. Domingo school has undergone major developments as an institution that provides quality education and technical skills to Nueva Ecija students.

Dr. Caoile’s journey to achieving the most outstanding title was faced with several challenges but her strong focus to public service and for the development of education in the country was evident.

“Hindi lahat ng laban ay nakikita ng iba. May mga laban na tahimik ngunit mabigat. May mga araw na puno ng pagod, at mga sandaling puno ng pagdududa. Ngunit sa bawat pagsubok na dumating, pinili kong manatiling matatag,” she said.

She added, “Dahil ang tunay na lider ay hindi masusukat sa dami ng tagumpay, kundi sa lakas ng loob na magpatuloy. Sa likod ng bawat laban, may kwentong dapat marining. Kung may nais man akong maiwang legacy. Ito ay isang paaralang may PANININDIGAN, may MALASAKIT sa mag-aaral, at may TAPANG na harapin ang anumang hamon.”

The entire Schools Division Office of Nueva Ecija, and DepEd Central Luzon has shared their commendation to the school head.
