LALLO, Cagayan – Lots of exciting activities filled the celebration of the Kindergarten Fun Day that took place March 10, at Tucalana Elementary School.
Pupils engaged in a series of activities which include draw and tell, reading and writing, identifying letter sounds, and games.
In the draw and tell, the participants have sported their creativity through imagination and then shared a story about their output. Meanwhile, the letter and sound identification game challenged both memories and fluency of the young learners.

The Filipino reading and writing activities have allowed the children to demonstrate their growing literacy. Likewise, the participants had fun demonstrating their growing literacy via storytelling and composing sentences.
School Head Brenda Avon F. Bolando has emphasized on the importance of the activity as bringing fun while developing essential skills of the kinder pupils.
“Our Kindergarten Fun Day not only brings joy but also helps develop essential skills in our youngest learners. Seeing them happy and learning is the best reward for teachers and parents alike,” she said.
Bolanda expressed delight on the success of the event, as seen on the smiling faces, laughter and sense of accomplishment each learner had.
The Kindergarten Fun Day, sometimes also called Kindergarten Family Day, is a once a year activity where kinder pupils and their parents gather together in a meaningful collaborative learning activity.
This seeks to engage the young learners in several academic games, kiddie sports, and creative endeavors.
DepEd Pasay has said that the event allows parents and their kids to have meaningful memories and get closer.
“We shouldn’t always make an event that solely focus on individual competition. Family Day is one of the events that we should always have.”
