Philippine TV actress and social media personality Alex Gonzaga has sparked conversations recently after a puzzling Instagram post that might reveal she’s actually carrying a child.
Alex, in the post, shared several photos including the one wherein she is peacefully looking in the window, a photo of flowers, and of her husband Mikee Morada watching TV.
She captioned the post, “Thank you Jesus for this life that we have together. Thank you for your grace, trials, favor and blessings. You have risen!”
Followers of the premier vlogger has quickly thought about pregnancy as she and Mikee have been very open with their desire to start a family, making fans extra sensitive to any hints.
While the statements might suggest something aside from the Holy Week, the post does not make a conclusion that Alex is pregnant.
It is worth noting that Alex and Mikee have long been dreaming to have a child, and the female has carried pregnancy thrice but it, sadly, ended in miscarriage.
In a January 2025 story by GMA News, the actress and husband politician shared the sad news.
Mikee said Alex getting pregnant at the time was out of the plan but she experienced delay in her menstrual cycle followed by a positive result in December.
Couple did regular checkups and confirmed pregnancy but there are complications. Early results show blighted ovum but found hope when the physician found a heartbeat in the ultrasound.
“Pagdating namin sa ultrasound na ‘yun, merong bata sa loob, may baby sa loob. Naiyak ako noong narinig ko ‘yung heartbeat. First time kong nakarinig ng heartbeat.”
However, the heartbeat soon came with complications. “Nalaman namin na mababa ‘yung heartbeat, 65 lang, so that same day, pumunta kami sa hospital, tinry naming habulin, baka ma-save pa ‘yung baby, ginawa naming lahat.”
December 28 brought a rather unfortunate news, the physician showed them the embryo but it no longer has heartbeat.
The couple has experienced miscarriage prior, first one in 2021 and another in 2023.
